Plum Pitt Disorder?

A few weeks back, after talking with Bruce in Costco, my symptoms were bad enough that I decided to make an appointment with the ear, nose and throat doctor that we used to take Hadassah (who happens to be Bruce’s doctor, too). It was going to be over $500 to see him as a new patient. Cash. Out of my pocket. UGH! Frustrating. Continue reading

Today

Entering the mall today I was quietly disgusted at the pagan holiday coming up and their traditions for it. I remember getting my picture taken with the bunny when I was about 5 years old. I was terrified. There is an old photo of me crying as I sat with the bunny. I hate the bunny! Continue reading

Lovely Monday (Day 2)

I never thought of doing this before, but it’s pretty cool! So, if you need help remembering who you are in relationship to Papa or if you need help remembering that Passover is coming up or if you need a reminder for a new thought that you want to take captive — set some alarms with a phrase that will spark you into action! πŸ™‚ Continue reading

Cooking and Cleaning

A regular day. Lots to do. Talking with Papa, exercise, showers, laundry, dishes, walking the dogs, cooking, cleaning, studying, school …. Hebrews don’t have “weekends.” They have Shabbat and the 6 working days. So today was not a “Sunday”, but … Continue reading

Despite Shabbat Rain

My sister-in-law told me about this little place and since it was raining outside and too cold for a hike we decided to check it out. It was the most amazing little local organic bakery! How can you go wrong with barley brownies, spicy pesto avocado toast, Ruwanda coffee and ancient Purple Egyptian Barley artisan bread? Continue reading

I Jumped!

I guess when I scheduled and paid for the ad part of me was assuming that nothing would happen — so it wouldn’t matter when I released it. But it did matter, because it actually worked. The calls weren’t all good leads, but I did it! I just had to get over the hump and jump in! This greenhorn jumped into returning calls and did it! Continue reading

What “Type” of Person Are You?

I am working hard to bring my man home. We need to do life together! We need to have joy and prosperity in order to feel like we are living and being all the Papa Yah created us to be. We need change and movement! I know my WHY. Do you know your WHY? Why you are doing what you are doing? Why you are changing your habits to best serve your goals? Why do you get up in the morning? Continue reading

Day of Friends

Had a tea date with a couple of Torah-keeping girl friends: Karen and Kim at a local coffee shop! Super fun to hang out for a couple hours just letting the conversation roll wherever it willed. Continue reading

The Real Rosh ha’Shanah!

The attraction with the man-made calendars (equinox etc) is for this very reason. Everyone wants to make plans and those other calendars make it easier to do that. Can’t make too solid of plans with the Creator’s calendar until AFTER Rosh ha’Shanah. This year, we took the chance and made plans BEFORE the Head of the Year. But we knew that we might need to tweek them, if needed. It’s needed. It’s done now. All is fine. πŸ™‚ Now we’ll move on to preparing for Pesach. πŸ™‚ Continue reading
